"During James’s Internship at The Pig & Fiddle he was fully trained in assistant events manager duties. His responsibilities included venue bookings, answering enquiries, online updates, advancing information for artists and event budgeting.
James excelled quickly in his role and soon became one of our main promoters for our weekly gig nights [...] Keen to learn more, he began training with our in house sound engineer at the venue, which led him to gain more experience in other roles such as artist liaison, stage manager, distributor of promotional material [...] assisting with load ins, following stage plots and helping patch the stage correctly. Throughout his internship, James has demonstrated excellent organisation skills in all of the areas mentioned above. He has developed an all round working knowledge of venue operations, as well as good contacts in the local music scene.
He is an excellent promoter and an asset to the team!" - Rhys Friery
James has also been working as a Volunteer Events Organiser at Bath Spa University's Student's Union. This role has seen him involved in organising monthly Live Music events (Friday Night Live), Cider Festivals and advising on Fresher's Week and Summer Ball events.
